Når højtstående tjenestemænd forlader Det Europæiske Økonomiske og Sociale Udvalg, må de normalt ikke udøve lobbyvirksomhed over for deres tidligere kolleger i en periode på 12 måneder. EØSU følger op på forhenværende højtstående tjenestemænds eksterne aktiviteter og offentliggør en årlig rapport herom.
