Kun korkeiden virkamiesten palvelussuhde päättyy Euroopan talous- ja sosiaalikomiteassa, he eivät yleensä saa harjoittaa edunvalvontaa tai edistää asioita entisten kollegoidensa keskuudessa seuraavien 12 kuukauden aikana. ETSK seuraa entisten korkeiden virkamiestensä harjoittamaa ulkoista toimintaa ja julkaisee vuosittain kertomuksen tästä seurannasta.
