Pärast Euroopa Majandus- ja Sotsiaalkomiteest lahkumist ei ole kõrgematel ametnikel tavaliselt 12 kuu jooksul lubatud tegeleda oma endise institutsiooni töötajatele suunatud lobi- või nõustamistegevusega. Komitee jälgib oma endiste kõrgemate ametnike komiteevälist tegevust ning avaldab kord aastas selle kohta aruande.
