Nakon što viši dužnosnici napuste Europski gospodarski i socijalni odbor, u pravilu se ne smiju baviti lobiranjem ili zastupanjem interesa u odnosu na svoje bivše kolege tijekom razdoblja od 12 mjeseci. EGSO prati vanjske aktivnosti svojih bivših viših dužnosnika i svake godine objavljuje izvješće o praćenju.
