Recommendations on the reform and investment proposals of the 2024-2025 European Semester cycle
The Section for Economic and Monetary Union and Economic and Social Cohesion (ECO) of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is finalising an opinion "The EESC's recommendations on the reform and investment proposals formulated as part of the 2024-2025 European Semester cycle" which is based on an information report "The point of view of organised civil society in the EU Member States on national reform and investment proposals and their implementation (2024-2025 European Semester cycle)". This package is a continuation of the EESC's work based on annual consultations of national economic and social councils, social partners and other civil society organisations in EU Member States on reform and investment proposals made in the context of the European Semester and their implementation in the Member States.
The 2024-2025 consultations that were held by the EESC's European Semester Group (ESG) throughout the year focused on reform and investment measures in the Member States, particularly those based on the CSRs, the medium-term fiscal structural plans and the progress made on implementing the RRPs.
The ECO section will bring together representatives from EU Institutions, national economic and social councils and decision-makers for a discussion of the findings, providing an opportunity to exchange views and to share experiences.
The event is organised on 15 April 2025 starting at 09.30 a.m. and will be webstreamed (original, EN, FR and DE). No registration is needed and participation is free of charge.
