• The future role of civil society in the enlargement process, with the participation of Dorin Recean, Prime Minister of Moldova, Olivér Várhelyi, Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement (video message), Majlinda Bregu, Secretary-General of the Regional Cooperation Council, and representatives of civil society organisations from candidate countries, preceded by the signing of a Memorandum of understanding between the European Economic and Social Committee and the Regional Cooperation Council, on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

• European Strategy for Older Persons, linked to the adoption of the exploratory opinion SOC/757 on the European Strategy for Older Persons requested by the Spanish Presidency, with the participation of Dubravka Šuica, Vice-President for Democracy and Demography, and Dr Heidrun Mollenkopf, President of the AGE Platform Europe, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
